Odd as it might sound, the IRS does not have any special code for taxing LLCs like they do for Corporations, Partnerships etc. The LLC can choose to taxed as one of many entities for tax purposes. We typically have our real estate LLCs taxed as Partnerships. Which is the default for a multi-member LLC.
